I liked the article. It did answer my main question about obtaining water from other beverages.


I do have one question about water in the morning. I have read you should drink a glass as soon as you can after getting up. Is this necessary? Some mornings I need a bit before I want to drink or eat anything.


Hello Awesomesue- Great question! Staying hydrated throughout the day is really important. Some people find they wake up and get busy with their day and haven't had any water. That is where the strategy of "drink a glass of water right when you wake up" comes into play. It is an easy habit to incorporate that helps you get closer to your daily hydration goal by making sure you are hydrating right when you wake up. If you have a strategy to get in your fluids, that is fine if you wait a bit before drinking water in the morning!
