Thank you. Not weighing pits would be my preference, lol. :)

Is there a feature to log my Doctor Visit and update my weight loss?

Hi Francismcgovern, update your weight in the "Weight" row in your app or in Details tab in web (Current Weight). MyNetDiary will calculate weight loss to date for you.

You can log and track a number of measurements from your doctor's visits. See "Measurements" row in your app or in Details tab in the web program. Maximum membership gives you the full range of options.

I'd like to know how to log vitamin and supplement intake during the day. I take Isotonix products (some that I have found listed on the food list) in the morning, with meals and then again at night. Is there a simple way to group these eg (AM Vits, PM Vits) so that I don't have to add them individually?

thanks

Hi Kristastoker-

I think the easiest way to track supplements is by creating a custom tracker for each supplement you take or in your case each group of supplements. In order to do this you must have the Maximum membership. Maximum membership unlocks all the goodies such as tracking medications and creating a custom tracker.
I hear ya- it is important to track supplements!
Once you have this, click on the green Diabetes tab at the top of your screen (when on a laptop). You will then have the option of either labeling your supplements under the medication tab or creating a custom tracker (these are essentially the same thing). You will also have the option of creating a custom label for your supplements. Each day go to the diabetes tab and track your grouping of supplements.
Be Well, Joanna

Hi! I recently got an Apple Watch that records an estimate of calories burned during the day. Should I add all of these to my Exercise daily (my activity level is set to Sedentary in this app)? Or should I only include calories burned during exercise?

Hi Sarah- Let me look into this and get back with you. Great question! Joanna (Dietician).

Thank you Joanna!! I've been trying to figure it out and I keep going back and forth! Very much appreciate any help you can give me!

Vits/Mins - another strategy Kristastoker, is to simply create a custom "recipe" with all of your supplements and then log it everyday. This allows the system to include the nutrient totals into your nutrition reports.

If you don't want to see your supplement totals combined with your food totals, then I would do what Joanna recommends.

Apple Watch - Hi Sarah, you could simply use the Apple's exercise calories burned and log that as exercise in MyNetDiary (or you can link it via Health app if you use Maximum membership). If you do that, then you don't want to have Step Bonus turned on since that will overestimate exercise calories. Also, you won't log exercise in MyNetDiary if you performed the activity wearing your Apple Watch (since that would double-count the activity calories). But if you went swimming and took off your Apple Watch, then log that in MyNetDiary.

There are other approaches to take. It depends upon your preference. I just use the exercise calories burned from my Apple Watch as a goal to work towards everyday. But I sync my Steps data from my Apple Watch (via Health app) into MyNetDiary. Then I use Step Bonus feature to give me "extra calories credit" when I walk or move a ton more than usual. If I perform an exercise that the step counter or Apple Watch doesn't register well (or I take off my watch), I log that activity in MyNetDiary. But even if I logged the exercise with steps or distance, MyNetDiary's Step Bonus feature will adjust to avoid double-counting steps (and estimated calories). You can learn more about it here: http://www.mynetdiary.com/step-bonus-your-reward-for-moving-more.html

Let me know if you need more assistance.
Best,
Kathy
