Hi, I just joined this team/group. My name is Karen. I’ve been using this app off and on for awhile. Looking for accountability to be consistent. I have about 40+ pounds to loose. Right now we are driving home from camping for several day in which I did not make the best food decisions but at least I did track everything. Hope to hear more about some of you in this group. 🙂

Hi, Karen. I'm Val. I've got 50 at least 50 lbs to lose. If I get there, then I'll decide if I want to go further. I'm impressed that you tracked everything while on vacation. I tend to not track anything when I find myself making poor decisions. My main problems are stress eating and portion control. Plus, I really enjoy food. :) I'm separated from my husband but making plans for reconciliation. One drawback with him coming back is that he undermines my healthy eating plans by bringing temptation foods into the house.

Hi my name is Bren just joined the App in late September i was 164 lbs im now at 143 lbs
and feeling fantastic i still have a little ways to go , but i must say this is the best app i have
used for losing weight . i just hope i can maintain after i lose the weight that i need to . But having this App will help me through it all i can keep at a certain amount of calories once i find the right amount to maintain the weight. Ive had my plateaus several since i started losing . i had to do some cardio to change it up a bit , Denise Austin has some great videos on You Tube ! there are some that are not hard at all and you can use light weights and helps get your heart pumping a little. i started to lose again after doing a couple of those.
I myself love the taste of all kinds of foods and i live with a spouse that doesnt care what he eats in front of me , and grown daughter with 3 children , they are always munching so it was hard for me at first. But I have been on the right track since Sept so I am sticking with it ! best of luck to all ...

Hi Bren, Karen and Val!
Karen, I sent you a friend message last night. Bren and Val - I'll set you to "friendly" and if you set me to "friendly" too, I think that will make us friends. haha.
I've used the app for a while (though not regularly) but I just started using the community features bc of a book I read called "How to Change" by a behavioral scientist. She says we pretty much need to believe that someone will know if we fail.
We don't need others to berate us, they just have to KNOW-- evidently that will keep us on track better. If I go on a binge I guess I'll do a confessional, analyse what went wrong, and vow to get back on the wagon. That's the plan, anyway. If I don't benefit from that, I guess I won't do it a second time. I'm not glutton for punishment (just a glutton at times, hahaha)

I'm def interested in writing and reading daily. Nothing too long - just celebrations, lessons learned, confessionals where needed. But also just interest in one another's journeys.
I told my daughter's boyfriend I had been doing really good on my diet and that little punk said "It's been 4 days" -- this kid has never been on a diet. Skinny as a rail. I was thinking, "Do you know how many times I've cheated on a diet in the first day? How many times I've cheated on the second day? The third day?"
So I need people who understand that every hour can be a struggle!

Congrats on your performance in the latest competitons. I agree we just need to start building community through regular posts.
I am trying (no, I am) controlling a chronic condition through nutrition and exercise. I did really well during the summer and fall but the winter is proving to be more of a challenge. Am almost halfway to my weightloss goal but have been on a platuea for over a month now.

Hi! I have been here since the end of the summer. I started (this most recent) weightloss journey the middle of June. My goal is to control a chronic condition through nutrition & exercise and so far I have been successful. I have lost over 50 pounds. I hit a plateau around the middle of December and cannot break out of it. I still have over 80 pounds to hit my goal.
I previously used SparkPeople as my tracker and it had a very active community. I am finding this community less active but change has to start somewhere. Let it start with us! Glad you made this post.

Hi! I started with the goal of losing 10% of my body weight. So far I have done that twice since the middle of June. I am struggling with this 3rd 10% goal. I have about 14 pounds to go and it just isn't budging. I feel like I need a complete mental reset.
