I'm not seeing that "26% challenge" either. But I might be interested if anyone can figure out what this is. Paul, your commitment is inspiring. Can you identify what events made your weight creep up again after losing so much? Is there something about the discipline of logging your food intake on this site that keeps you on track? Do you need a bigger or more convenient repertoire of satisfying and healthy foods/recipes that can sustain you onward through the rest-of-your-life maintenance period? These are ideas I am exploring for my own weight loss. You seem like you've been very successful in the past. I hate to see anyone get tripped up on weight maintenance. Heaven knows, I've gained and lost the same weight over and over.

Hi All, I'm non the wise about %26, infact never heard of it so please share when you find out.

I now feel back in control again and I put it down to having a clear vision and goal that keeps me focussed. Earlier this year I lost my focus twice which saw my weight rise from 219 to 239, then back down to 218 then back up to 250 lbs. I'm now back down to 238.8 and aiming for 205 by year end which I am very confident I will achieve.

With regards to my diet I had dropped from 3000 calories down to 1700 a day. I will be doing a 'three day on' at 1700 calories, then a on day off at 2500. I have been told that this will keep my body out of starvation mode.

Is anyone using a non exercis approach to weight loss?

Hi Urbanmomma

What's working for you at the moment with regards to diet?

Warm regards

Paul

I am fascinated by the 3-day-on 1-day-off pattern. Can you tell me where I might read more about it? I have the most awful time with plateaus, and I wonder whether it might help.

Hi I'm curious if anyone has a 2010 resolution?? I am aiming to lose 70 lbs total .. Need to get brave enough to weigh myself because it's so depressing when I don't seem to be losing anything. Good wishes!

I never made a New Years resolution before now. I need a reason to kick start myself. I will be reaching my goal weight by my birthday in Sept. and be a better example and HEALTHY cook for my family.

Hello all. I joined this web site in October and it has certainly helped me. I have lost 50 pounds during the past 14 months, but this site keeps me focused. I hope all of you meet your goals next year and remember that we are not in our 20's anymore so it takes longer to achieve our goals Just stick with it and work your plan and you will see results. Happy New Year.

Thank you for your encouragement. I have just joined today.

GetFitMom, I'm looking to loose 50lbs this year, my wife and I have a new baby due in August and I'm dedicated to getting younger in 2010! :-)

Hi, this is my 2nd month on MyNetDiary and have lost a total of 13lbs so far. Last week my friend committed suicide and threw me for quite the loop - consequently I resorted to my typical coping mechanism of over-eating luckily, I have since regained my composure and am back on my program. I'm looking forward to meeting my 40's with the same enthusiasum I had for my 30's.
