Holding on my weight not surprise 2 days ate desserts high in calories. Got to keep trying harder to get to my goal and I will make it no if or and about it. Love this time of year all the veggie stands and have alot of friends bring in veggies to me...I am blessed. Got off my group on FB in weight watchers...still doing weight watchers...I keep reading about all foods being made and would make me hungry ...I have to keep food out of mind and site. Hope all is going well for all.

Weight in so slow...down little over 1 pound...but not a gain! Been eating healthy out of my sisters garden...mmmm. Watching my sodium intake so swelling in my leg look good able to move better. So I'm blessed in more ways I count. Hope my friend Jloughlin is doing well!

Weigh in day lost 1.2 pounds...as always wish it was more but no gain! Been eating alot cantaloupe and cucumbers thought it would be better maybe water. I did have one blow day this week had my grandson ate pizza. Well still keep chugging along like the little train that said he could do it, lol.

Weigh in day if you call it a lost..just down .6 pound. I need to learn portion size better. And need to get more food Incorporated in my diet with the right size. Today is another new day of learning healthy plan so I will put forth. One thing I am learning is healthy eating. When I use to diet it was to lose weight fast get to a designated weight now it is to learn how to eat healthy and break my old eating habits and live! Yes I would love to be in shape but most I want learn to eat healthy and the shape will come. Maybe it will take 3 or 4 years but I'm now 62 so it took me this long to eat unhealthy and get to this sad stage so if I can turn it around in 3 or 4 years pat on the back!

Today was another weigh in day..still slow only .4 pound. I just can't get my portion size correct. When I eat my portion size I'm hungry still but I got to get it to get this weight coming off better. But on flip side not gaining like I was!

Sorry, I have been absent, but the grands have been keeping me busy. I have not lost anything since we came up here, but I have not gained either. Hard to cook for the whole family and stick to a great diet, plus I have a hard time getting my exercise in. Probably only getting half the exercise I got at home.
I have started my cancer treatment, so far it is only hormone therapy and the proton therapy won’t begin till late October. If everything goes as planned, I may get to go home beginning of December. Lots of test so far and all look good. My PSA has not increased, I don’t have Covid, No colon cancer, No liver disease, No cancer has spread, and I only have one small tumor in my Prostate.
I see you taken some weight off, keep at it. I promised myself not to gain anything and still hope to lose 5 before I go home. Good news is, my wife is now doing well. She is down 25 lbs and has lost 5-6 while we have been here.
We are heading home for a week tomorrow to take care of some business. Not looking forward to facing all the weeds that have grown in 2 months.

So good to hear from you...I was worried. It is great you are holding on your weight, looks like you have learned healthy eating habits to maintain. It sound like healthy eating has helped your wife..she has to feel so much better. My daughter has been going to Purdue for her Master Degree ...she will be able to be a Nurse Practitioner if want. I asked her about Prostate tumors and how treat. She told me she can't really tell there is all different ways according to how big and how far along. She did tell me that good treatment result are high in treating it or having it controlled . Still hoping for my goal at end of September of being below 300. It is coming off real slow...my fault portion control isn't one of my plus things. Just because low calories I should not eat 3 servings. But least coming off not putting on and I don't feel like a diet just learning to eat better foods and I like that I'm feeling better energetically. I hope all goes well. You and your wife are in my prayers. I know she has to be so worried but it sounds like they have a plan and it has not spread all positive things...have faith in the doctors and healing.

Kind of over ate today. Had some food don't normal have but I will be back on tomorrow. Did get out alot today...had my grandson and we stayed busy for at least 6 hours. End of month is coming up it is gone to be real close but do I make my goal...I will be close to it.This virus and politics is about to drive me crazy. The virus seems to keep getting worst in this area...I don't even want to get out and get groceries...which I order and pick up. I guess change of times and older I get harder to learn to change in time. Hope you and the family are well...

Jloughlin, it has been along time since talk. How are you doing? I'm still trying to eat healthy. It took me a long time to get it in my head but I think it was around October it sank in my thick head I got to do this. Been doing really well since than. Each week losing some and getting in more and more exercise. I wanted to meet my first goal set in September and didn't make it at all but I may make it by the end of year. Holidays are coming upon us but I'm not worried, I got a taste of feeling better and I want to continue. Hope all is well with your health....wish you and your family a Merry Christmas!

I have been on a long journey. We went to Maryland to Covid sit my two grandchildren for what was suppose to be 21/2 months in July, but I was diagnosed with prostate cancer while there and ended up being treated at John Hopkins. My prognosis is excellent, but we won’t really know anything till June.
Part of my treatment was hormone therapy which really played havoc on my weight. Between the hormones and the fact I cooked every day for the entire family, I gained about 20 lbs.
I got home Dec 10 and got back to work on my diet. I have not been active on this app, but I am currently participating in two programs. They both started on the same day, so I had to think it was a Godincident. The first was a 40 day prayer challenge called Draw The Circle and we spend the first 20 minutes of each day in study and prayer. The second is a fitness challenge called KYD55. It is from a YouTube channel called Keep Your Daydream. It is a 55 day program with 5 pillars. excercise, nutrition, service, water, & reading. I have added a 30 minute workout to my daily routine, gone back on my diet, try to volunteer at the church as much as possible, drink a gallon of water a day, and have read 6 books that fill my mind with new and positive thoughts.
I have lost 11 lbs since I came home and I feel better for the daily workouts. If you are looking for a good read, “The Man Who Moved a Mountain” .
Hope you have been well and hope we can reconnect.
