Hi Sheila43, thank you very much for your support, I really need it. I am intending to weigh myself every week just so I can adjust the calories intake. I am going for 1 1/2 lbs per week, at least at the start.
Talk to you soon hopefully! x

imslim, i think 1 1/2 lbs a week is a good goal and can be achieved. do you exercise along with dieting or do you just diet. i run, and have just recently started biking. i have found that on the days i exercise i do better with my eating. hope everyone in the group has been having a good week.. im checking in today with a 5 mile run and 6 min ab dvd done. i feel good today

Hi sheila43, unfortunately I am not able to run... lol! I have set my profile as sedentary and when I exercise I put it on the plan. I have only started this week and since then I have been going for a walk every day. I just don't want to commit as having kids and being alone not always allows me to do what I would like. For some reason I feel like I am eating too much though so I always overestimate how much I have eaten and underestimate how much I have exercised. Still I feel like I am eating too much... I wonder why...

i think its because after all of the years of starvation diets its hard to get in our head that we can have alot more calories if we eat healthy. i to struggle with this. i remember back in the day i would try to stay under 1000 calories. I started my healthy eating on sept. 7th and today was my first weigh in and i lost 8.2 lbs. and i have been eating 1350 to 1500 calories a day. however i usually exercise at least 50 min 5 times a week. im so excited. cant wait to see what next month brings

Hi all,
I'm a new member... my name is Sunday. I need to lose weight for health reasons. So, any tips from you all will be very much appreciated. I need to shed some of the weight that is keeping my self esteem at an all time low. I would also like to hear any tips on foods you all are eating that seem to keep the "hunger monster" at bay. Thanks alot.

Hello! I have become good at losing weight but very bad at keeping it off. So I feel I'm just at my first challenge. I got to the edge of health problems with spinal stenosis, hip bursitis, and plantar fasciitis. I've lost 29 pounds this summer, 13 of it since I started Mynetdiary 9-27, and now only the last problem is still giving me problems.
I joined a gym and that's really keeping me motivated. So far!

Hi Halfdeeve! I really can identify with what you said about having no sense of moderation! I have the same problem especially with high sugar foods and wine. My resistance really goes down in the evening when I'm sitting still.
Plan on posting tonight to help me control the impulse to go for the ice cream!
