Hang in there Psychnurse1993! As a nurse, you spend so much time taking care of others, it's time for you to take care of you! You can do it. Nursing is harder than weight loss! You got this.

Hello Group, I'm new to the App and the site. I'm 45, live in Canada (father of 3). I'm a Social Worker. I've always been up and down in my weight. My last large loss was 8 years ago before the birth of my last child. Over the past 8 years I gained all of that lost weight back. I now have set a goal to lose 68 pounds between January 1st and the end of August this year. The last time around I lost weight using the G.I. Diet (Glycemic Index) by Gallop and Gallop. It worked super well for me, but for some reason, psychologically, I couldn't get back on the horse this time. My oldest daughter introduced me to this because I like gadgets and computers, she thought it might work. I've only been at it for 12 days now, but I have lost about 6 pounds thus far. I'm looking forward to chatting with others about what works for them. Cheers

Hi there! I too did the G.I. Diet years ago. It worked for a time but I found it difficult to stick to it. I've used MyNetDiary for 6 years now. I've yo-yoed up and down all my life. I've finally found what works for me in one word: Caveman. Eating nothing but meat, vegetables and fruits - no added sugars, no gluten, no diary. It's a lifestyle choice that I am so happy I've made. I've been doing this since late June 2015. I've dropped 81 pounds so far. I have another 100 to go. I think you've given yourself plenty of time to shed those 68 unwanted pounds. You have to do what works for you and I am going to suggest one thing. Don't diet. Diet is a horrible word. It is a short-term event. Making the right lifestyle choices for yourself is what will stick with you long term. Just my opinion. It's taken me 46 years to get to this point where I have a clear understanding of what works for my body. Do you have an activity tracker (i.e. Fitbit)? Those come in very handy and you can link them to your MyNetDiary account. I use both the Fitbit Charge and the Aria wifi scale. I'm a gadget kind of girl as well. Good Luck! :)

Hello guys.
I bought MyNetDiary several years ago. started using it but without much success. Tried Weigh Watchers for one month, lost 2 kilos and learned that persistence is a key.
My goal to loose 20 kg by the end of this year and I'm seriously want to achieve this.
Major problem now is that I need to start cooking at home, something I don't do usually.
Hopefully I will find some help and advice here.
Cheers. Igor

That is inspiring weight loss. I want to lose at least 30 to take pressure off my knees (which have significant issues.)

I feel your frustration! Still, your weight is going in the right direction and feel free to contact me for support anytime. This stuff requires lifestyle changes that you are clearly making.

I work with nurses and can attest how tough that profession is.

Hi Igor! I too have started and stopped using MND and want to keep using this time. I joined this group for a social aspect that I hope will increase my chances of success.
