Glad to know I'm not the only one. I can hear the wine and cheese calling my name in the evenings. I'm trying tea and it just doesn't do it. That feeling of "uhhh" is not there.

Monday again. Offical day to begin a diet. This is week one. I have six weeks to lose 20lbs. Will let you know what happens on Saturday. That's the weigh-in day.

Sheila, I know your post about chocolate milk is old. I just wanted to acknowledge its brilliance!

I agree that late at night is a hard time for me. I wait until everyone goes to bed then relax and sweet food or wine are always in the picture!

I am 43, the mother of a preschooler, and a runner (mainly 10K to half-marathons). My activity level has taken a hit due to demands of career and parenting and my food and alcohol intake has increased so that I am now about 20 pounds over what I consider to be a much healthier running weight. So far, MND has been really helpful and I've been able to lose over 4 pounds in the first week and a half! Here is hoping for a healthier 2013!

Are you still running Indychem? I am mother of preschooler too, former 1/2 marathon runner (haven't run since my pregnancy) with 20 pounds to lose. Trying to figure out how to squeeze in some "me" time to exercise with the demands of work & family.

Hello, I am new to MND and excited to start utilizing the diary. In May I started focusing on becoming more physically active and striving to eat better. I have successfully lost 30 pounds and want to lose 20 more. I feel better and have so much more energy. I am looking forward to being a part of the 40 Something Group :)

Hi, all ... I can attest that MND works when you use it. I'm 4'10" and 46, and finding that my weight gain hits my mid section.
I'd lost down to my goal weight and "thought" I could keep it there with exercise alone ... But this summer was so hot and filled with so many family obligations that I gave up walking.
I also got out of the habit of MND. End result? After a summer wearing dresses, I put on a pair of slacks and realized they'd barely button. Climbed on the scale and ... Had gained 8 pounds.
All is not lost. At least it's not all over -- my thighs are okay. I figure if I walk and watch what I eat, I can get back to where I was.

Hi! I'm new to the group. I'm 43, 5'5", 134lbs. Like most women, my metabolism has slowed down and parked on my hips. I've been using My Net Diary for a little less than a month. I joined a gym and am doing treadmill and yoga classes 4-5 times a week. I'm on 1350 calories, but have only managed to lose 1.5 pounds. So frustrated!! Feel like giving up so I can enjoy food again.
