Hi, I started two months ago I only have lost 1.4 lbs I don't only consume only 1347 kcal and I exercise and burn 1000 kcal daily. What am I not getting better more faster results. Because it's kind of dis encouraging to put in all that effort and not losing weight. Or is burning 1000 lbs a day enough kcal to burn to lose weight.


Def ask the dietician (Kathy) for advice before you give up! She is very good. It definitely works. I've lost about 7kgs in 8 weeks. Am starting to plateau now but am in the middle of my BMI and am starting to change my goals for slower weight loss over a longer period of time.

If you're only eating 1300 calories and burning 1000 calories (in addition to your body's daily calorie needs just to keep functioning!) you're likely taking in waaaaay too little food to lose weight. Sounds counter-intuitive, I realize, but try eating the calories you burn exercising for a couple of weeks and see what happens -- I'm reasonably positive that you'll start seeing losses.

I'm also new to this site. I was using Lose It for a while, but I really like all of the extras this app & website give me.
I feel like once I hit 30 my metabolism just stopped. I used to be able to eat anything I wanted. Now I gain weight looking at food. I've decided to be steadfast in keeping track of what I eat, I bought those plates that show the proper portion size, I try to weigh myself every day and I'm doing this exercise program called Insanity that's kicking my butt.
Sometimes I just need a little realistic encouragement, not someone telling me I look fine to them. How I look to myself and how I feel are what's important.
