I have 86 pounds to lose and my baby is now 6 years old. :)


Hi all! I would love some support and encouragement as I loose some bad habits and lame excuses! I just joined the site today. This is about the 4th time in 7 years I have put on the same 35 pounds. I was recently told by my new OB that I may be contributing to my infertility. Having just turned 30 I think it's time I figure this out. I'm hoping the resources this site offers will help me stay on track and create a new lifestyle. I feel like Mr. Rogers but will you be my friend. Lol

I am looking to track my food and exercise habits, hoping to see where I'm going wrong and eventually break my bad habits. Since I want to correct my lifestyle, I just wanted to concentrate on logging and exercising. I hope I manage to lose weight and become more agile.


hi! I am new to this site. I have been using it for about 3 days. I really like the iphone app that lets you scan the barcodes to get accurate amounts. I am following Atkins right now to jump start my metabolism. I have absolutely no energy for anything. I have not been feeling sluggish these last few days but I have not found time to exercise. Not even a 10 minute walk. I hope to get more active in the next few weeks. My ideal weight for my height and age is 140-150lbs. I lost alot of weight 3 years ago and got down to 150 and I felt that was too small. I feel more comfortable at 150-160lbs. So my overall goal is to lose 60lbs. However that is such a big number for me I and going for 30 at a time. This is the first diet I have actually not cheated on after day 1.LOL so I hope I can make it through this 1st week and many more weeks to come.


Hey I'm new around here too I've been using the app for a little while now and have lost about 40 pounds. I really like the program and feel like its helped me truly make a life style change. I just recently noticed the online community and joined it for that extra boost.


Hi all I am new to :) but honestly had the app for a while and been lazy :( but i desperatly need motivation to kick start the new me !!! Ideas for meals would be a great help ? Snacks are my biggest downfall and having three kids I'm struggling with that biscuit tin ( main aim is to get rid of it and have a healthy food tin instead ummmm need to think a bit more about what to call it so it's just as appealing as biscuits )

Dear Kalechips and others,

I just saw a photo of myself and cringed. How did I gain so much weight? Answer: Cookies. Oodles of cookies. I eat when I'm cranky or stressed. I get cranky AND stressed when I think about how much weight I've gained in the last 5 years. I'm hoping really committing to a food diary is going to help me ditch these 35 pounds or so. Anyone having luck?
