Craving sweets Topic


One that has worked for me is this: I take one granola bar (PerfectBar is my current favorite) and cut it into pieces. The whole bar is around 250-300 cal but if I space it out all day, a. I get to "snack" all day on something yummy and b. I have energy all day, and I don't insulin crash. PS PerfectBars are close or in the Zone for carb/ protein ratio so they're not very crash and burn anyways.


I just recently discovered Carmel rice cakes with peanut butter and Cool Whip !! Great, you get that crunch and the sweet ! Hope this helps ...,

Hi. I like zero water brand beverages as well as herbal teas. Zevia brand carbonated beverages seem palatable as well. If I have fed my body nutrition recently and still have a craving, I understand it is not a physical hunger. Of course I fail sometimes, but many days I successfully treat my cravings with zero calorie stevia sweetened beverages and herbal teas. Seeking pleasure through other activities (meditating to relax, doing enjoyable exercise, occupying with a hobby, being with other people) also seem to make the cravings go away.


I am a huge fan of chocolate rice cakes from Quaker Oats. They are so good and have just enough sweetness! Also, I read somewhere that when you are craving something sweet, it could also be an indicator that you are dehydrated. Personally, I try to be aware of that when I really want something sweet- so I chug a glass of water and wait a few minutes. If I still can't shake the sweet tooth, I go for the rice cakes ????

I buy 100 calorie whip yogurt and freeze them. They really help with the sweet tooth and ice cream craving.


Agree with previous suggestions of berries, granola and caramel rice cakes. Adding raisins - higher cal, but sweet and not unhealthy (I don't think.)

I find that I have fewer cravings when I incorporate fruit on a regular basis.


Frozen Grapes are ace. Also, if you wizz up a banana with any frozen fruit it tastes like fruity soft serve.

Personally I take to a piece of fruit or make up a fruit smoothie it works for me luckily I'm not too bothered by chocolate kids sweets I'm terrible with. I battle it this way
