Craving sweets Topic

Sweets - when I need sweet and fruit is not going to cut it, my fave is still dark chocolate - about 15 grams or 1/2 oz. For me, dark choc is not a trigger food for overeating. And my safe food for cookies is Barbara's animal crackers (I follow their portion size) + 6 fl oz of 1% milk. I don't buy very many sweets for the house - that helps me control night time snacking. Over time, I have trained myself to eat savory vs. sweet at night since sweet just seems to turn on my appetite like gangbusters. I often have 1/2 - 1 oz pecans for an after-dinner or bedtime snack, or, Sargento reduced fat cheese stick + 6-8 Way Better Crackers (high fiber).

Superfood sweets: Cacao Nibs and Goji Berries. A teaspoon of each. This will make any bad day the best. Easy to find Superfoods just goto the food area of a Marshell's or any other discount store get it for half the price. I eat it before a speed walk or after dinner. I'm using mynetdiary to help me with the 12 lbs or so that i gained after i quit smoking. It has been one year without smoking and i'm really happy that there are great healthy sweets to eat.

I have a sweet tooth. I admit it, and I occasionally indulge it if my nutrition day has been good and my calories allow it. I even purposely eat a low calorie dinner, a lean cuisine with added vegetables for instance, so I have enough calories left.
Fruit is my go to but some times that is not enough.
My current treat comes in at 187 calories but fills all my sweet tooth needs for a couple of days.
It consists of a low fat light and creamy ice cream slice 70 cal, a store bought meringue nest, 40 cals ( this was a pleasant find)! 5 or 6 strawberries, 10 white grapes and a passion fruit drizzled on top as the sauce.
My lo cal version of an Australian pavlova. Taste just as nice.

I second frozen grapes! Those are the bomb

Banana foster , one whole ripe banana, sautéed in 1.5 tsp of coconut oil sprinkled with cinnamon and one tablespoon of raw brown sugar, optional it pairs well with low fat yogurt or riccotta cheese

Protein Chai sounds good!

I have done the budget thing too. I had two awards dinners complete with champagne wine drinks fancy food and desert. I found the menu and planned my meal, then ate lite all day to fit my numbers. It worked quite well. I had a 'treat' and didn't blow my diet

I have been doing this too. I am allergic to most citrus so my fruits are limited but a 'shake' is always a treat

Just found this list you posted @TheTroubleRabbit - thank you, this is so helpful! :)
