Its a good idea to integrate the app with MND, but still a bit buggy. I used for about 5 runs and GPS dropped along the way about half the time. Also, be great to be able to create custom exercises, as I have found through a lot of experience the amount of calories my body uses in every 1 km of running (about 68) is different than what is considered "standard". So the app over estimates my calorie usage. Overall, I find Runkeeper and Garmin Connect to be very accurate and integration with maps, goal setting, courses, workouts, etc is very useful. http://connect.garmin.com/activities?cid=762693

Thanks for the info, Yamanote. I will share with Support. For some reason, the app doesn't calculate my running # minutes per mile despite calculating the MPH correctly so perhaps this is related to what you describe.

Back on program after finding myself up 10 lbs over the course of a year. Some may be attributable to some medication changes but I had not been exercising as diligently either so this is my challenge. Already lost about two lbs so feel well on my way. My hubby has decided to work on increasing activity and eating healthier and ordered Fitbits for both of us. So looking forward to a happier and healthier summer!

Thought about this. Just 100 alories above maintanence caloories(one of those 100calorie snack items(how sm is that!)equals a 10 pound weight gain in one year. How horrible is that? I truly enjoy my Fitbit.Hope you do too.You will lose those 10 lb
fast!I know you will Fran

Clochette2 - hang in there! And I agree with Fran, the Fitbit is really helpful in regards to pushing me to be more active overall. I still use MyNetDiary for my caloric calculations (they just work better for me) but the Fitbit is fab for steps and stairs as an independent goal to reach. But I wish I wouldn't misplace it so often - the last time it was hiding in a pocket of a sweater I infrequently wear- so I missed days of tracking!

Did weigh in today and have lost a couple more lbs. Truly thrilled and motivated by that! Fitbit was back ordered so will have to wait awhile to check it out. The new model is a bracelet I understand which a lot of reviewers said is easier to keep up with than the former model. Starting my new job in a little less than a month (promotion)and things are a bit hectic. Finding that time to exercise is the big challenge.

Then you will love the Fitbit - since you can periodically check it during the day and try to figure out reasons to walk the office, use the stairs, park further away, take the walk after the long work day, etc. Let us know when it arrives! I am KathyI on Fitbit so friend me.
Best,
Kathy
