Hi I am new to the team. I have set a goal to lose 160 pounds. I have had the app for a little while now but I am finally sick of my situation and those that doubt me. I started this adventure on Monday and I am looking forward to have a successful week.

New here. Been using the app for about 3 weeks now. I am really struggling with sugar cravings. I've been drinking tons of water but struggle to stay away from sweets. What tricks help you?

Okay since last night when I wrote that question I've decided to just cut out sweets and treats. Wish me determination! Here I go day 1!!!!

amjd i wish there was a trick for the sweet tooth. For me I have to rely on will power until I see some success on the scale. Seeing that success on the scale then helps fuel the will power. For most days anyway. Good luck.

Hi Taterbug, once my physician told me: "if you really can't stop[ the chocolate follow this trick: take a bite of a chocolate and let it melt in your mouth slowly, you will take the energy you want and you will get enough from what you need" try this trick. I have tried it and it works. for examply: you can have one bar of Kitakat following this trick rather than having four at a time. all the best Taterbug :))))) tell me if it works ;)

Hello All! New to this site/app and new to this group. I am about to turn 35 and have a gorgeous 9year old daughter. After having my daughter, I lost all my baby weight plus. I looked the best I ever had. About 3 yrs later I had a chronic back injury rucur, and the meds I have to take help.. but I have gained 60 -70 lbs and was told the meds have likely caused a metabolic problem. Bummer. I am ready to get serious and really feel I can offset the issues with the meds by getting healthy, active and make this work! I need some buddies to hold me accountable. My husband and I used to work out together, but life and schedules get in the way so we don't get to share workouts much anymore. So, I am looking for a motivator and in return I can offer accountability and motivation. I am ready! I want to be healthy enough to enjoy all the important moments of my Daughter's life..and quite honestly. .. I want to be my Husband's hot wife again! He deserves it.. and so do I ?
Thanks for listening and I hope to hear from some of you soon! ????

Hello I am 36 f new to the site I had a partial hysterectomy 2 years ago & since then I have been gaining massive amounts of weight. I am currently weighing in at 299# and would love to get back down to at least 170#. I am under a mountain of stress (husband is dying of heart failure, father has lung cancer, & took on 5 extra kids due to another family member having a total knee replacement). My blood work looks great & I eat pretty healthy (lowest amounts of sodium, whole foods, everything home made) but for some reason I still keep gaining. Not to mention when a family member is put in the hospital I have a bad habit of either not eating or being unable to control what is put into my food. My dr has told me to go on a 1400 calorie a day diet to lose the weight. I am going to try my very best!!!!! Wish me luck!!

Adding dieting to the plate when you are going through a tough time may not be the best idea. I went on diet for two months last year while I was dealing through a lot of life changes and stressful situations and I ended up being stress overloaded and depressed, so I stopped and only came back to the idea this year when things have improved.
As for not eating, perhaps you can try using meal replacement such as protein bars to replace one of your meal. One low calorie meal consisting of good macro, can make the task of balancing the daily nutrition/calorie sheet easier.
